Responsibilities

 

Store Systems Technical Analyst

 

 

 

The Retail Systems Technical Analyst is responsible for the quality assurance and production support of all store, e-commerce and guest facing application systems. Provides Analysis, Development, Implementation, and Maintenance of Retail Applications.  These include but are not limited to Oracle Retail suite: Xstore (POS), XAdmin, Order Broker (Locate), Customer Engagement (Relate), XBRi, OCC & OMS (E-commerce). VeriFone Point/VHQ, Store Handheld devices and mobile applications.  Work closely with the Application Development, DBA, Business units and Operations team to implement changes.

 

Duties:

 

  • Health check and troubleshoot all Retail Systems.
  • Interacting with vendors on issue resolution.
  • Rollouts and software updates to all Retail Systems.
  • Deployments and file management to all Retail Systems.
  • Make Configuration changes to retail systems as needed.
  • Investigate retail system failures.
  • Maintain and support store system price and item files.
  • POS Deployments.
  • POS images – configure & deploy.
  • Investigate Retail System tickets
  • Investigate and correct POS Polling failures.
  • Maintain Retail System Technical Documentation.
  • Able to read POS logs.
  • Develops and executes test plans and test scripts as needed.
  • Works with user departments to assist in resolution of production issues.
  • Works with software vendors to resolve retail system issues.
  • Manages 3rd party store retail support by opening tickets and following up as needed.
  • Retail System Patches and Builds:
    • Coordinate with Oracle, SI and other IT departments on release instructions and authorizations
  • Manage retail system production issues as needed.
  • Strong Knowledge of all Retail system integration from Store to E-Commerce.
  • Be subject matter IT expert on how Retail systems work and integrate.
  • Contributes to all areas of the Retail Systems team as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a IT or business-related field.
  • Experience in Retail IT omnichannel environments.
  • Previous experience implementing Oracle Retail products preferred.
  • Capable of working in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to follow and implement guidelines to ensure PCI compliance.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills
  • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, team player, flexible, creative.

Education/Experience: At least 12 months of experience in a store systems support role, and/or any amount of comparable exposure or experience working in store system support environment. Experience working in a retail environment. Experience with SQL query writing

 

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other team members of the organization.

 

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiple, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
